New cabinet in Kuwait
Dispute in 2016 between the National Assembly and the government over the reduction of fuel subsidies led the amir to dissolve the National Assembly on 16 October, which was to trigger early elections within two months, and the cabinet resigned, remaining in office in a caretaker capacity. On 30 November the amir asked Sheikh Jaber to form a new government, which was announced on 10 December. (more…)
